A photograph by J. Michael Whitaker has been selected as one of twenty B&W photos to be exhibited in May at the Black Box Gallery, a very small photo-specific gallery in Portland, Oregon. The judge was Julia Dolan, the Minor White Curator of Photography at the Portland Art Museum. She has a BFA in photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art, a MA in art history from Penn State and a PhD in art history from Boston University. She previously worked for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Addison Gallery of American Art and the Fogg Art Museum.
