The paintings are hung, the tags are placed, and the lighting is balanced at Gallery Fifty Six. Everything is ready for Bryan Blankenship's exhibition: Metes and Bounds. The artist's reception is tomorrow, July 8th, from 5 to 8 PM. You are invited to this event, and it is free and open to the public.
Bryan's work is the kind of art that will work in almost any decor. The artist works with masonite pieces that have been coated with a mixture of white paint and plaster that is textured and painted in a variety of ways. Bryan's colors run from warm and bright then cool then neutral. Bryan has made a special effort to offer you the very best value for the price. Now is the time to purchase that art piece you have been waiting for.
There is a new display of work in the resident gallery. Be sure to notice work by John Hood-Taylor, a recent graduate of MCA. Mariana De Marchi, our artist from Argentina, has a large collection of mono-prints to choose from. Photographer Paul Clark has a large collection of Delta images that cover one wall of the gallery, and John Sosh has in intriguing new piece.
There is a lot to see (and buy) at Gallery Fifty Six. Hope to see you there!
